Black Bear/Red Chair Petite Sirah 2012

    $18.00

    California

This wine is made from a mixture of fruit in equal parts from Paso Robles,
Lodi, and the Sierra Foothills, with each region contributing something unique to
the blend. Each vineyard was picked at the peak of ripeness and fermented
separately in stainless steel vessels. Each lot was then barrel aged in mainly
experienced oak barrels to allow the fruit tannin structure to develop and soften
over time. The blends were assembled and put back to barrel to allow more time
for integration. A total of 14 months in barrel was needed to allow the
components to come together and create rich and soft tannins that Petite Sirah is
    known for.

  • rock-lobster

    Rock Lobster Zinfandel

    $17.00

There are a few great production areas for Zinfandel in California: Sonoma, Paso Robles, the Sierra Foothills, and Lodi. Lodi was the first production region in California to commercially produce Zinfandel, and because of this there is more acreage of old vine Zinfandel than in the rest of California combined. Zinfandel flourishes in Lodi, with its deep and fertile soils, warm days and cool nights. The grapes mature with an intensity of ripe flavors that cannot be duplicated anywhere else. To create the wine style that is Rock Lobster, we work closely with only a select few growers, who care about what happens in the vineyard as much we care about the wine that goes in the bottle.
